Dr Dominic Bradbury is a freelance writer and journalist specialising in architecture, interiors and design. He has written many books on these subjects, along with monographs, while collaborating with a range of leading publishers including Thames & Hudson, Phaidon, Mitchell Beazley, Assouline, Rizzoli, Laurence King, Batsford, Pavilion and Lund Humphries. As well as the ongoing Iconic House Series, Bradbury’s recent titles include The Atlas of Mid-Century Modern Houses, Mid-Century Modern Design, Modernist Design Complete, South Bank: Architecture & Design, New Nordic Houses and Off the Grid: Houses for Escape, with many translations and co-editions published around the world. His monographs include books on the work of Todd Saunders, Richard Seifert, Conran + Partners and James Gorst. Bradbury has also contributed to magazines and newspapers in the UK and internationally, including The Observer, The Times, The Financial Times, House & Garden, World of Interiors, Wallpaper* and many others. He is a visiting lecturer at the Victoria & Albert Museum and serves as a consultant and advisor to a number of organisations within the design world. Bradbury’s current research interests include post-war architecture and design, iconic 20th/21st century houses and sustainable architecture. He holds a PhD in architectural history.
